Where to Stay

There are not many hotels in this area just a few homestays where you can stay but it's difficult to book if you do not speak Thai.

So I can only recommend the resort that also speaks English and is easy to book with Roomscape

Yaya Malee resort

This beautiful resort is at the waterfront overlooking the bay of Sameasan and the fishing village.

The resort has big rooms on the older side only the 3rd floor has a sea view and the other rooms partial sea view.

This year the resort is renovated and they have new rooms in front of the ocean all with a sea view and a beautiful pool in front so I recommend booking the new rooms in front.

Breakfast is basic Thai rice soup and some toast with coffee, dinner is served in the restaurant on the wooden deck which is a great place to relax during sunset. The food was really good so we did dinner here every night. Orders have to be done in the morning as they need to buy fresh products.

How to Reach Ko Kham Island:

Ko Kham is accessible by boat from Samaesan Sattahip. Visitors can arrange transportation from the mainland, and the journey itself becomes part of the adventure as the boat cruises through the calm waters, offering glimpses of marine life and the surrounding islands.

From Pattaya, I saw only a Russian tour going to the Island so you have to drive on your scooter or rent a taxi to bring you to Sameasan for the boat to Ko Kham

Location where you have to buy tickets for the boat be aware that there are not too many visitors allowed on the island and the first boat will leave at 09:00 so better avoid the Thai holidays.
